Rachael's work spans feature film, network television, and major streaming platforms. Whether she's playing a commander, a villainous CEO, or someone you'd rather not meet in a dark alley, she's no stranger to characters with authority, power, and a secret or two.
Rachael plays a key role in Netflix's upcoming rom-com action feature Guarding Stars, premiering November 18 on Netflix and based on Katherine Center's New York Times bestselling novel The Bodyguard. She recently guest starred in the highly anticipated USA Network series Anna Pigeon. Currently making its way through the festival circuit is Boris Mojsovski's feature film Foreign Tongue. She also recently wrapped a key role in the feature film I Am Not What They Say, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart.
Among her best-known television roles is Commander Nhan on Star Trek: Discovery. Introduced as what appeared to be a classic redshirt, Nhan defied expectations, evolving over multiple seasons into Discovery's Chief of Security before returning for the series' final season as a Federation commander. Turns out surviving in the Star Trek universe is an underrated skill.
Her series-regular credits include Lucy Oliveira in Mary Kills People; Marlo Cruz, a police officer living with bipolar disorder, across multiple seasons of Rookie Blue; and Kate Faulkner in the second season of Nurses, where she joined the series following a major hospital scandal. She also appeared in a ten-episode arc of The Art of More alongside Dennis Quaid, Cary Elwes, Kate Bosworth, and Christian Cooke.
Rachael has recurred as Correctional Officer Erica Dorsett on Chucky, appearing opposite Jennifer Tilly's iconic Tiffany, and across two seasons of Wynonna Earp, where she had the rare opportunity to play both the fan-favourite Blacksmith and her decidedly less-friendly, vengeful twin, Gretta. She also recurred as the tough-as-nails Warden Rennika on Killjoys.
Her guest appearances include Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, Hudson & Rex, Dark Matter, Heroes Reborn, Republic of Doyle, The Listener, and King. She has also ventured into comedy, appearing in the series Carter opposite Jerry O'Connell and the feature film Special Correspondents opposite Ricky Gervais and Eric Bana.
From science fiction and horror to drama, action, and comedy, Rachael moves comfortably between studio features, independent film, and television- usually with a badge, a secret, or both.
